Safety Tips
- A responsible adult should accompany young children Trick-or-Treating.
- Costumes should be bright, flame-resistant and temperature appropriate.
- Reflective tape should be placed on costumes and candy bags, so children can be seen in the dark.
- Children should carry a flashlight with new batteries and stay in a group.
- Only well-lit houses should be visited and children should be reminded not to go into a stranger's house.
- Change or a cell phone should be given to children before they go Trick-or-Treating, so they may call someone in case of an emergency.
- To ensure safety, all candy should be inspected by an adult.
